A document task can take longer than expected when a form is incomplete, a signature needs correction, a branch asks for additional proof, or a courier is delayed.

This is especially important for time-sensitive NRI banking tasks, including KYC updates and FCNR(B)-related requests. The current RBI-linked FCNR(B) facility is reported to close for eligible fresh deposits on 31 August 2026, while banks may set earlier customer deadlines for documents, funding or processing.
